Hi there, I really don't know much about this topic at all, but I do know a couple of facts that might help you. In particular: 1) The curvature is equal to the inverse of the radius: K=1/r So it seems to me that if you had a negative curvature, then you would have to have a negative radius. I don't think it makes sense to have a negative length? This is really just a shot in the dark. I hope it was at least helpful. Good luck!
