Question
I know this needs to be broken into conditions, and I'mcertain I have the 3 sets of conditions when a=1 (p<1 diverges by p-test, p=1 is the harmonic series, p>1converges by p-test), and I'm fairly certain that each of the 3conditions on p results in a divergence when a>1 (due to thesequence not approaching 0 near infinity). It seems that each ofthe conditions on p would cause a convergence, but I'm not sure howto show it. Any help would be appreciated.Explanation / Answer
if a>1,the series will be divergent for all values of p if a=1 it is divergent for p1 if aRelated Questions
