Question

I am looking for 2 differentfunctions to satisfy two different parameters. E.G., thisis "2 questions in 1". Respond to each question in a separate post.Note that this is not a HW problem, it is just an individualproject. Meaning you do NOT need to be exact!

I would think the function should be exponential, but I could notfigure out how to make it START OUT SLOW. E.G., I could make itsuch that I reached 20000$ after 880 days but I could notsimulaneously manipulate it such that I would have 1000$ after 1year (365 days). Instead, it would have y = 6000$ when x = 365which is unrealistic (the functions I tried were along the lines ofx^1.number - x)

1) Initial Bankroll = 10$ Final Bankroll = 20,000$ Bankroll after 60 days ˜ 150$ Bankroll after 365 days ˜ 1000$   Bankroll after ˜700 days ˜ 12000$ Bankroll after ˜880 days ˜ 20000$ 2) Initial Bankroll = 10$ Final Bankroll = 20,000$ Bankroll after 60 days ˜ 300$ Bankroll after 365 days ˜ 3000$ (± 1000is acceptable here) Bankroll after 700 days ˜ 20000$ The functions should allow me to enter it into my calculateand graph it so I can get a feel for where my bankroll should be atdays in between, e.g., at 184 days or 629 days.

Thanks! I am looking for 2 differentfunctions to satisfy two different parameters. E.G., thisis "2 questions in 1". Respond to each question in a separate post.Note that this is not a HW problem, it is just an individualproject. Meaning you do NOT need to be exact!

Explanation / Answer

Bankroll = y and Number = x

1) Initial Bankroll = 10$ Final Bankroll = 20,000$ Bankroll after 60 days ˜ 150$ Bankroll after 365 days ˜ 1000$   Bankroll after ˜700 days ˜ 12000$ Bankroll after ˜880 days ˜ 20000$
                y = -0.00002x3 + 0.0576x2 - 16.618x +397.96

2) Initial Bankroll = 10$ Final Bankroll = 20,000$ Bankroll after 60 days ˜ 300$ Bankroll after 365 days ˜ 4000$ (± 1000is acceptable here) Bankroll after 700 days ˜ 20000$
                y = 0.00005x3 - 0.0017x2 + 4.7499x + 10

The functions should allow me to enter it into my calculateand graph it so I can get a feel for where my bankroll should be atdays in between, e.g., at 184 days or 629 days.

Thanks!
