Question
Let "bar" denote the complex conjugate operation.Prove RIGOROUSLY that f(z) and bar (f ( bar z)) are simultaneouslyanalytic.
I am a little confused as to the author's meaning of bar (f (barz)) being analytic. Does this mean we are supposed todifferentiate with respect to z or bar z? Because there is abig difference.
Also, do not assume anything other than multivariable calculus and1-variable differentiation wrt z. Do not assume you maydifferentiate wrt barz.
I know from previous studying that the bar (partial of f wrt z )equals (bartial of bar f wrt bar z). Is this the story thatAhlfors is trying to impress upon the reader with this problem?
