Assumption : The hockey team represents the entire population of the state. (This is an example of Type II Error)

Reason : This is wrong because they all might be supporters of a particular party, and the rest of the population might vote for other candidate.

Example : Person is judged not guilty when they actually did commit the crime (letting a guilty person go free)
