Question

2 This weekend I would like to complete three tasks. I need to read about 70 employment files, and I give myself a 20% of successfully completing the task this weekend. I also have to write an exam, and I give myself a 40% completing the task over the weekend. I also have to rewrite an assignment and I give myself a 12% chance of finishing this weekend.  I calculate that I have a 72% chance of at least completing one task. In order to come up with this total probability, 72%, what am I assuming?

Explanation / Answer

Here we can see that

20 + 40 + 12 = 72

that means all these task will take same time so that would ultimately mean that if i do only one of this work then i would be able to complete 72% of it.

So, here the assumptions is that all work "70 employments files reading" , " Giving an exam" and " Rewrite and assignment" take same amount of time.
