This assignment has three parts 1. Data collection: Go to: http://www.footprintnetwork.org/resources/footprint-calculatorl-> Footprint Basics > Personal Footprint to calculate your ecological footprint overall o use the bottom set of questions, they're more sophisticated and will give you a more accurate "footprint') o print the results page that will tell you how many Earths would be needed to support the planet's current human population if everyone lives like you do o scan this as a jpg or .pdf file that includes your name - ex. CMigliaccioResults.pdf 2. Analysis: Now answer the following questions in a 2-3 page word processed, MLA-style paper. o Retype the four questions below and then follow with your response o Skip a line and then continue to the next question OR 2. You may copy/paste these questions into a MS Word document, answer the questions, save (filename:your initials.doc.and upload this document to the Drop Box o Example: EFACM.doc), then attach and submit. Adding your initials to the filename helps me locate your file when I download it to my computer. HINT the average page in MLA format has about 250 words/page, so your word count should be 500-750 words for this assignment. Questions (respond to al four; number your responses) 1. In your own words, what does the term "ecological footprint" mean to you? Why do you think this term is used? What was your footprint? (2 points) 2. What did you learn about yourself from this activity? (3 points) 3. What can you reasonably do to minimize your footprint? Explanation / Answer

First of all i want to mention you here that except the 4 given question the rest activity like scanning ,word file documentation and the uploading is your work. here i just provide the answers of the 4 questions of part-2 as below-

1) ecological footprint can be defined as it is the measures of the human demand on the nature. it track the demand rate through the ecological accounting system. this account contrast with the biologically productive area which the people use for their own consumptions.my footprint is the fuel like petrol and diesel and solar energy.

2) we learn about this fact that how much we are dependent on the nature for the basics as well as daily life needs. many things which we are consuming day to day life is getting form the nature. we learn about the footprint and it applications to our life from this activity.

3) at the initial state it is very much difficult for us to not consume the natural resources for our purposes but by pratice and replace it with other sources we can achieve the unutilizations of this. to minimze the footprint first of all we have to change our level of thinking and use only those thing which we can generate by our techology and not from the nature. like if we want to go to a near market then we can use a pedal bycle rather to use a bike or car. it will minimize the use of petrol or diesel and thus we are minimize the footprint with this.

4) this activity make us understand the value of the footprint to our daily life and what are the advantages if we minimize the footprint utilization from our daily life. this will make us to motivate to make something new, create something new and thus reduce the the utilizations of the foorprint. this will make us understand that how precious the natural resources are for we human. thus we all get here is moral and ethics towards this and developed the practice of conservations.
