b) Japan region. because it is associated with convergent plate boundary so, the chances of deeper earthquake to occure here is large, espcially on the wadati benioff zone of the subducting plate, inthe case of san Andreas boundary its a transform plate boundary and the chances of shallow earthquake is more since the two plates are sliding each other.
