1)It is a difference in the elapsed time by two observers due to a velocity difference or gravitational field. There will be difference in time of a clock that is moving relative to an observer and which is at rest in the observer's own frame of reference.Such time dilation has been repeatedly demonstrated by many space agencies.For eg difference in clocks on GPS and Galileo satellites running slightly faster.Time dilation also provides the means for forward time travel.[4]
It can make possible for passengers in a fast-moving vehicle to move far into the future in a short period of their time then after sufficiently high speeds, the effect is dramatic. For example, one year of travel will be equal to ten years on Earth.
Example for time dilation is affecting us today as if one person is at the top of a mountain and one is at the base, then person at height watch will be running slightly faster than the person at the base. This is because of time dilation.
