Question

Hi,

I need help with question 9 (a-e), unsure how to compute and what formulas to use. Please let help me work out the problem step by step and how I can complete.

Thank you,

d. (1 pt.) State your results in APA format e. (2 pts.) State your conclusion. 8. (1 pt) Which of the following statements does not belong a. Our condition of the independent variable produced a significant difference in the dependent Scores. b. The change in the dependent scores was produced by significant sampling error. C. We obtained a significant z. d. There is a significant effect of the condition. 9. (5 pts.) In a study we reject HoWhich of the following statements are incorrect and why? a. "Now we know that Ho is false." b. "We have proof that our sample mean represents a different u." c. "We have proof that the independent variable causes scores to change as predicted."

Explanation / Answer

9.

In the given questions ,H0 (Null Hypothesis) is rejected then we have to choose Incorrect option from given (a to e) and also why

a) Incorrect ,Because rejection means alternative Hypothesis gives better result than (less error) than Null hypothesis so we rejected Null hypothesis hence if H0 is rejected then its not mean that H0 is wrong

b)

Correct,if H0: mean=some specific value so when we rejected the H0 then mean is differenet from that specefic value

c) Correct,In regression analysis we testing that the cofficient of variables are zero or not and generally

H0: coff are zero while H1:coff are not zero

so rejecting H0 means we have proof that coff are not zero hence dependent variable value depends on Independent varibles

d) Incorrect,Because if H0:Xabr is equal to Mean so rejecting H0 means there is some difference between X bar and Population mean hence may be this difference is due to sampling error

e)

Incorrect, when we are testing relationship existance then in H0 we are taking that there is no relationship and rejecting Null hypothesis means there is some relationship exist.
