In women, supplemental calcium intake was not associ- ated with CVD death (RR, 1.06; 95% CI, 0.96-1.18), heart disease death (1.05; 0.93-1.18), or cerebrovascular dis- ease death (1.08;0.87-1.33). Dietary calcium intake was unrelated to CVD death in either men or women. Conclusions and Relevance: Our findings suggest that high intake of supplemental calcium is associated with an excess risk of CVD death in men but not in women. Additional studies are needed to investigate the effect of supplemental calcium use beyond bone health. This research particularly proves that intake of supplements containing calcium leads to more cardiovascular deaths amongst men than women. The implications for this would be a further investigation as to why is that the case. Whenever, there is a difference amongst the impacts of the same tests basis the gender, it is further investigated to prove as to what is leading to this difference. Also, further investigation is needed and would be done to know as to why only supplements containing calcium are leading to cardiovascular diseases and not dietary calcium. Also, based on the reach of the research article amongst the population, it might lead to more awareness, especially amongst men about the same and might lead to decrease in business of some products or supplements leading to those products.
