Climate report for Columbia, Missouri

Columbia is known for its humid and seasonally contrasting climate. This report is meant to provide you with the essential climatic details for the month of March. The days throughout the month were pleasant as the extreme weather events known to us in the form of tornadoes and blizzards never occurred. Nevertheless, there were brief spells of thunder recorded once in every 10 days. Temperatures on all days were both warmer and cooler than usual but the entire month was warmer than what has normally been observed over the last 30 years. Noticeable spells of rainfall occurred during the last 15 days was normal as cloudy, overcast conditions became common during the second half of the month. Snowfall was below normal with just one day recording a total of 0.3 inches of snow. Foggy conditions were seen at least once in every week with occasional appearances of smoke and haze. Overall, the city of Columbia was warmer but normally wet and the month was devoid of any atmospherically generated natural hazards.
