1) Tholeiite (type of basaltic lava) is being erupted from the Kilauea volcano as it doesn't contains any fragments and gases from a volcanic eruption to make it pyroclastic.

2) The viscosity of the erupted material is comparatively low as it doesn't contains any fragments.

3) Kilauea's dominant form of eruption is effusive, where magma flows create ropey lava known in Hawaii as pahoehoe lava.

4) General composition of pahoehoe is mafic in nature as it has low silica content of the order 46-52%.
