a) It is given that c=20t + 200 is the no. of computers sold 'PER YEAR', where t is the no. of years since 2008.

2014 is the 6th year.
When t=6, c=20*6 + 200
c=320.
So, the total no. of computers sold in the year 2014 is 320 computers.

b) The c-intercept is 200 i.e. when t=0 which is the year 2008. As c represents the total no. of computers sold and t represents the no. of year, the c-intercept tells you the no. of computers sold in the year 2008.

c) Now the no. of computers sold c=300.
Substituting the value of c in the given equation c=20t + 200
300=20t+200
100=20t
t = 5
So 5 years since 2008.
That is the year 2013.
