b)Correlation cofficient,r=sqrt(R^2)=sqrt(0.016234)=0.1274

c)Cofficient of determination,R^2=0.016234 or 1.6234%

Which indicates that 1.6234% of the linear variation in dependent variable(y) is explained by the independent variable(x) through above regression model.

d)We can use t ratio for factor X to determine the significance of X.

Test statistic:

t=-0.178571/0.401289

t=-0.445

df=12

p-value=tdist(0.445,12,2)=0.6642

As,p-value>0.05,we fail to reject the null hypothesis and we can conclude that factor X has not significant impact on response variabe.
