Question
At this outcrop, there is an anticline developed within the Salona-Coburn Formation. At the northern end of the outcrop si the contact with the Antes shale that marks the end of carbonate depostition. You will be expected to answer the following series of questions.
Please answering the following: (Please answer all parts precisely and asap!!!)
-Describe each facies (composition, texture, form, association, fossils, sedimentary structure).
-What depositional environments do the facies represent?
Explanation / Answer
compostion- the above image is showing a black rocky mountain which have the composition of most part of carbon deposited on the sediment rocks. this are formed when the hot molten magma suddenly come in the cotact with the atmospere.
texture- it have the texture like the black color that is similar to the coal. it have the fine grain structure and have the plain and sharp edges on the upper side of rocks. it like sometime as black crystaline structure.
fossile- it have the fossile of the plants and animals which are buries beaneth the earth crust over millions years ago. the fossile also include the sea animals like snails in it.
sedimentary structure-the sedimentary structure is of this mountain have the assymatrical rippling structure on the mountain. this is formed due to high pressure when the formation of the sedimentary rock takes place.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the fancis which the environament represent is that the region is full of the biome when the buries not take place. it have been polluted with the environemental contamination due to which it emit toxics. the mountain is black means the radiation is of high order at that time when this formations takes place.
