Question

Two players, Say EVEN and ODD.
Give EVEN 30 blank cards, and ODD 40 blank cards. They can write down
any positve integer on each of their cards.
Play Rule:
Each player puts any of his/her prefered card (with face down) on the table.
Uncover the cards, if the sum of the two numbers on the two cards is even,
then EVEN gets the two cards. If the sum of the two numbers on the two cards
is odd, then ODD gets the two cards.
Whoever gets all the cards, WIN!
You can assign numbers (random or not) to the cards.
What can you say about the game?
Such as:
Who will be the winner?
How many rounds are needed to produce a winner/ end the gam

Explanation / Answer

even number+even number=even number

odd number+odd number=even number

even number+odd number=odd number

odd number+even number=odd number

so probability of winning of EVEN=2/4=1/2

and probability of winning of ODD=2/4=1/2

so game will continue because both have the same probability of winning the game
