Question
I am working on a question for structural geology and I can not figure out where to start, the teacher said they are in planes that can be plotted on a stereonet, the slickensided surface also has the same orientation as the fault. We need to calculate the rake and I have no clue how to start since we don't know where the slickensided surface falls along the fault unless I am missing something.

4. Slickensides are ploished rock surfaces on fault planes.
Yes, Whinging Badger is located on the fault. This is becaus slickenside surfaces has been marked on the fault plane. The polished nature is due to movements between the rock and the fault planes which is caused due to friction. Lineations or striations are developed along the direction of movement due to friction.
