Question
if the biocapacity is 1,7gha / person and the consumption ecological footprint is 2,8 gha / person (which aren’t sustainable)how can you optimize the biocapacity? if the biocapacity is 1,7gha / person and the consumption ecological footprint is 2,8 gha / person (which aren’t sustainable)
how can you optimize the biocapacity? the consumption ecological footprint is 2,8 gha / person (which aren’t sustainable)
how can you optimize the biocapacity? how can you optimize the biocapacity? how can you optimize the biocapacity?
Explanation / Answer
Biocapacity represents the capacity of biological productive area in terms to generate renewable resources and absorbs the dumbed waste materials. In other words, biocapacity refers the capability of an environment in a given time to provide food, and naturally decompose the waste material over an area. However ecological footprint refers the consumption of renewable resources and other essential needs of human communities from their ecological places. These two are quantify in global hectares (gha). If the ecological footprint exceeds over biocapacity, the condition becomes unsustainable which seems applicable in given values for biocapacity (1,7 gha) and ecological footprint (2,8 gha).
We can optimize the biocapacity by combined efforts of human being to protect over climate and environment from the rapid urbanization, devastation of forests and uncontrolled population growth. We have to support and make efforts to maintain the natural environment of our climate. We should use more eco-friendly stuffs for our daily wages and should not dump our waste material directly to the natural sources. We can also use another alternatives for renewable sources e.g. solar energy, wind energy etc. To improve and optimize biocapacity, we need to cure our nature day by day because this will take thousands of years to maintain the difference (1,1 gha, for given values) between the biocapacity and ecological footprint. So, we have to take a small step forward today to make a considerable change in future.
