If a limit does not exist, state that fact. 1. a) find limC) lim /(x), and lim) b.) find f(l). c.) Is fx) continuous at 1 Why or Why Not? d.) Find lin(x) e.) Finds@) e.) Is fx) continuous at x-1? Why or Why No? 2. a) find lim s(x),lim x), and limgr) b.) find g(0). c.) Is gex) continuous at x-0? Why or Why Not? d.) Find lim g(r) e) Find g-2) e.) Is gix) continuous at x-27 Why or Why Not? 10. List the points in the graph at which each function is not differentiable 11. Find an equation for the straight line tangent to f(x)·2x'atx.3. SHOW ALL woRK.

Explanation / Answer

Q9) The graph is not given as mentioned on the previous page, please post the graph

Q10) The function is not differentiable at two conditions

1) The function is not continous at that point

2) The function is having a sharp edge

x0 - The function is not continuous, since f(x0) is not equal to f(x0+h) or f(x0-h)

x3- There is a sharp edge at the point x3, hence the function won't be differentiable at that point

Hence there are only two non-differentiable points x0 and x3 in the graph

11)

f(x) = 2x^2

f'(x) = d/dx f(x) = d/dx (2x^2) = 4x

f'(3) = 4(3) = 12

Point will be (3,2(3)^2) = (3,18)

Equation of line

y - y0 = m(x-x0)

y - 18 = 12(x-3)

y - 18 = 12x - 36

y = 12x - 18
