let x = 2u+v and y = 9u+2v
so, (u,v)=(1,1) => (x,y)=(3,11)
and (u,v)=(1,-1) => (x,y)=(1,7).
therefore the line in the xy plane is
y-7 = ((11-7)/(3-1).)*(x-1) = 2(x-1)
