Why don't we see solar and lunar eclipses every month? 40Explanation / Answer
J.)LUNAR ECLIPSE:
This can occur only when the moon directly passes behind the earth and that into shadow. And this occurs only when the sun, earth, moon will align very closely as the earth in the middle. due to this reason lunar eclipse occurs only on full moon day night.
SOLAR ECLIPSE:
This occurs only when the moon passes between sun and earth and that is only on new moon day. as when the shadow of the moon falls upon earth surface we can see at that time there some portion of the sun is covered by the moon.
L.)Both solar and lunar eclipse will not be seen every month because the orbit of earth around the sun will not be in same plane as the moon orbit around the earth.
