can anyone help me with these two?
The su Eanh's surlace most intensaly al the equelor Hadley 30°N High pressure Equatr Low pressure Iropics This heating leads to hs upift of air, creating a large banc of ow Hadley ceil 30 S High pre3sure Subsicence of ai creates à bans of hg Subsideno mosp herie pressurc Question 1. How would you expect the area and geographic locations of the tropical rainforest, tropical seasonal forest, and desert biomes to change if the Hadley cells expanded north and south? Question 2. Projections for the movement of the Hadley cells suggest an expansion rate of around 0.8° latitude per decade (Lucas et al. 2014). If this rate of Hadley cell movement in the Northern Hemisphere continues, how much farther north, in degrees latitude, would you expect the desert biome to occur by 2080? (you can use a calculator but show your calculations below, i.e., what numbers are you using and what operations-multiplication, division, addition, subtraction-are you performing?)Explanation / Answer
ANSWER No-1
As we know that Hadley cell formed in the zone of 0 to 30°lattitudes in both the hemisphere(Northern as well as southern). The wind started moving from Subtropical high pressure belt to Equatorial low pressure belt just on the surface of the earth. The wind after reaching the Equatorial belt from both the hemisphere they started converging and uprising in sky side in tropospheric region at some altititude.During uplifting its gain lots of moisture from equatoial belt and becomes lighter and reached in upper tropospheric layer for formation of cloud by condensation process.During this phenonminon the lots of rain fall occured at equatorial belt.
The wind that uprises and reached in upper tropsphere that flow the horizontally in opposite direction due to the divergence movement because it has high pressure belt in upper troposphere at equator and after that wind phenominon reached at upper tropospheric layer above the 30° in both the hemisphere. At 30° (Northern and Soutehrn) the wind realease their moisture and started converging in upper tropospheric and reached at 30° in both the hemisphere in form of cold and dry nature without any moisture and again converging at equator from both side .This is the Hadley cell formation mechanism.
The hadley cell if extended toward Northern and Southern hemisphere, the tropical rain forest area also extends toward North and Southern hemispere and the tropical seasonal forest area getting decrase towards bothe the hemisphere and dreist desert mass also extended.
Like the area, location also getting change with lattitudinal change.
