a>The average is will not depend on how fast the climber was ascending because the average will be zero. Positive (ascending) rate and negative(decending) rate.

b>The average rate will be eqal in magnitude but will have opposite signs.

c>Assuming that the rate does not change instantiously yes the climber was ascending at a rate of 150 feet per hour because avg rate = 900/6 =150 feet/hour

d>We can not say that  the climber was ascending at a rate of 150 feet per hour because she may accelarate or deacelarate at any point of time.
