Explanation / Answer

Answer to the firts part pf question:

The soil in the surevy area of Lake country varies vastly for its uses and type. Following are the classifications of soil found in this area:

Soil on the Lake plain and offshore bars:

This soil is poorly drained. It is silty and loamy lakebed sediment. This type of soil is mainly used in farming and growth of trees and shrubs.

Soils on beach ridges, terraces and offshore bars:

It is well drained soil. These soils are sandy and gravelly, and therefore internal drainage is good. Supplemental irrigation is needed. The soil is mainly used for community development and farming.

Soils on till plains:

It is poorly drained or moderately drained. It is found on broad flats or dissected areas on till plains.

They formed in silty or loamy glacial till. Some of these soils have a frangipan which restricts internal drainage and rooting depth. Areas of this soil are used for farming , natural trees and shrubs and community development. The major limitations of this soil is erosion, seasonal wetness and slow permeability.
