Question

Hypothesis investigated: The hypothesis that antibacterial soap kills more bacteria on hands than standard hand soap. List of variable: Control- unwashed index finger swab Experimental protocol: Result & Discussion: 1. Unwashed index finder from each hand 2. Wash left index finger for 30 seconds with soap then swab immediately for T1, repeat 2 times 3. Apply sanitizer to right index finger for 30 seconds then swab immediately for T1, repeat 2 times 4. Allow to incubate for one week 5. Count in each quadrant Photo of bacteria colony: 43

Explanation / Answer

The outline of the experiment below according to my opinion is:

After using all the materials available for the experiment of testing the hypothesis we may have a different variety of shapes, smells and colonies on the plate. The differences between the colors; smells and shapes have to be noted. The bacteria gradually increases its number and can appear as millions of colonies in a petri dish.

Rubber gloves should be worn compulsory to protect the open cuts and should never take a breath or ingest in growing bacteria. The petri dishes should be sealed during the entire experiment.

a) The difference between the result obtained now and before have to be examined carefully and the differences of the shapes; colors and smells have to be correctly noted. And the number of bacteria increased in a petri dish should be carefully examined. And also the preventive measures have to be taken compulsory in order to avoid hazardness. Doing the same experiment again with some extra interest, extra observation and complete involvement is the improvement on this study.
