Mitochondria and chloroplast are thought to be origined from endosymbiotic method. In anicient periods mitochondria and chloroplasts are thought to be free living and when conditions started to adverse these microbes engulfed by higher organisms and both started in symbiotic association. In order to higher organisms provided shelter and raw material to organisms and microbes synthesized organic food and also provide energy. There are evidences in support like both mutochondria and chloroplast has organisation like prokaryotes and are semiautonomous and have a circular DNA like prokaryotes.
