Describe how climate change data is collected, analyzed, and reviewedExplanation / Answer
1) Global warming is one of the effects of climate change. Globalwarming refers to increase in mean surface temperature of earth since the early 20th century. Climate change includes global warming but refers to the broader range of changes like rising sea levels, shrinking mountain glaciers, and shifts in flower/plant blooming times.
2) About 97% of the scientists agree that the climate change is caused by human actions.
3) The organisations that state that humans are causing climatic change are international and U.S. science academies, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
4) Greenhouse effect is the entrapment of heat near the surface of earth due to increase in the concentrations of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, water vapour, nitrogen dioxide, methane etc. Increse in carbon dioxide concentrations in atmosphere prevents the heat radiations that are reflected from surface of the earth from escaping into outer space and re-reflects themback on to the surface of earth resulting in green house effect.
5) The climatic change data is collected with the help of weather stations, weather balloons, radars, ships and buoys, and satellites.
