What do you think are your most important areas for improvement in building trust?Explanation / Answer
My strengths in building trust as a collaborative leader.
My most important strength is that I ensure that processes for exercising collaborative leadership are open to all stakeholders. I do not indulge in rigged processes, which are not transparent and which do not let all the stakeholders exercise collaborative leadership. This way I encourage and help other stakeholders to exercise collaborative leadership and I ensure that all such processes are transparent enough so that all stakeholders know about these processes. My fundamental approach to collaboration is the one of building trust among all stakeholders. I believe in and make efforts to build communication processes that encourage people to say what they think without any fear or favor.
I often make efforts to create credible and effective processes to facilitate collaboration and while in the initial stages of establishing collaborative relationships, I often make sincere efforts to establish level playing field for all stakeholders.
So my strengths are transparent information sharing, trust building, open communication, giving opportunities to all to exercise collaborative leadership.
My areas of improvement in building trust
I have a few areas on this front, which I need to improve upon. I need to be more assertive and authoritative with people to stop them from exercising personal powers over collaborative processes. I need to focus on my integrity aspects and I should strongly commit to do practice what I preach. I need to make more efforts to lead by example, by demonstrating through my approach and behavior that trust is the foundation of successful collaboration.
