During today's clinic visit, she expresses fear because her mother died of a cerebro- vascular accident (CVA, stroke) at her age, and M.P. is afraid she will suffer the same fate. She states, Tve never smoked and I don't drink, but l am so afraid of this high blood pressure."You review the data on her past clinic visits.Explanation / Answer
M.P is suffering from hypertension which is a condition with reduced blood vessel size due to clogging of blood vessels with low density of cholesterol or any other body fluids remains which are clogging he blood flow making the blood pressure high. With reduced flow of blood low amount of blood is delivered even to the kidneys which may cause renal failure. She was on medication of thiazide diuretics which increasing the flow of blood and water to the kidneys to normal the blood pressure with increase flow of water to kidneys giving a bladder full sensation making her waking up all night and dizziness due to low blood pressure. M.P fear of cerebro vascular accident which may be du to increased blood pressure and hypertension which causes blocking of blood flow to brain and other organs of body which results in heart stroke leading to death. To avoid cerebro vascular accident she should be advised of healthy diets and regular exercise.
