Question

What do you think of these two ideas? do you agree or disagree and explain why in complete sentences.

1. In my opinion, I think the position of Neanderthals in our society would be normal as any human person and integrated into modern human society. The reason why I am concluding that is because what we know about Neanderthals belongs to thousands of years ago which means we don’t know what happen to them or in case some generation still alive and live between us because over that amount of years many changes could happen to Neanderthals that make them adapt some changes to their organism which make them as modern human. I think the types of occupations that they might have would be in the positions that require stamina. In addition, I think they won't be discriminated against or enslaved because as I described it they won’t so different than us, as a result they will be getting fare treatment as I believe. In addition, the theory of being treated as animals and looked in zoos is far away to be applied to Neanderthals because they have human relative genes and features, so I think there is no need to consider and treat them as animals.

2. If Neanderthals did not become extinct and shared the earth with modern humans I believe they would be intergrated into modern human society. However they would be in a very cold climate such as Alaska. Due to their extremely large cranial capacity if they were able to adapt to society they would be able to make a very positive impact on society. However, I feel majorly of Neanderthals would not even bother trying to adapt to society and just live in an extremely cold climate such as Alaska and follow their cultural practices. One of their cultural practices include making decorated shells and burying the dead which reflects a sense of abstract thinking. The Neanderthals that did attempt to adapt to human society would be integrated with human society and they might find occupations as construction workers due to their large stocky bodies. Their short stocky bodies would be an advantage when lifting heavy wood and construction materials. Another occupation Neanderthals might be are security guards and cops. Since Neanderthals are natural born hunters jobs like these might come second nature to them. Neanderthals also show evidence of traumatic injuries such as broken bones. This would be an enormous advantage being a cop or security guard because if they were to get injured on the job they would still be able to adapt and do their jobs since their bodies are naturally able to recover and keep functioning even with an injury or broken bone.

Explanation / Answer

I agree completely with these ideas and advocate for preservation of the endangered species of life. The most recent archaic humans occured between 300,000 and 100,000 years ago, who were replaced by early modern humans. But the irony is that it depends on the intellectual mentality. It would be a challenge to integrate themselves in this modern society. They would be distinct and unique with exaggerated and stereotyped facial features.
