Ans b) In ELISA, both positive and negative control is important. The positive control in the ELISA test is important to test either an endogenous soluble which might contant the protein of interest or the purified protein. However, the negative control is used to test a sample which is not known to express the protein that you are looking for. It is to keep a check on false positive results.
