Answer 1: In order to sustain a healthy life with altogether elimination of any chronic disease or minimizing the risk thereof, it is necessary to closely monitor the diet we take along with its nutritional and calorific values. Considering the sedentary modern life-style, over-consumption of calories remains one of the major reasons for becoming overweight and hence many chronic metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, thyroidism etc arise in the individuals. Thus, in order to avoid these diseases, it remains mandatory to closely monitor and regulate the calorific value of the food.

Answer 2: In order to enhance the calorific value of the food, the total food intake must be remained almost same but the fraction of roughage must be enhanced along with total calories. On the other hand, reduciton in the calorific value of food should be brought slowly in order to avoid cravings for food items and foods with high satiety index must be ingested.

Answer 3: The reduction in food calories is a difficult step to be taken since people generally cut down the total food intake while reducing the number of calories and thus suffer from either nutritional deficiencies or food cravings.

Answer 4: The guidance system is clear and concise with simple terminology and thus enhances understanding of the subject.
