3. I am designing a fermentation process, and I need to formulate a medium for growing Escherichia coli. My target cell concentration is 20 g/1. If ferric chloride (FeCls) will be my source of iron and I wish to have a safety margin of 20% (ie. I will add 20% more than the required amount), what should be the concentration of ferric chloride in my medium (g1)? (4 pts) Assume E. coli consist of 0.2% iron by weight. The atomic masses of Fe and Cl are 55.8 and 35.5. respectively (Hint: You are what you eat, you eat what you are.)
