Question
do you think that it is proper or appropriate that a person's estate may be taxed upon the person's death? * Shouldn't people be able to pass their hard-earned wealth to their surviving families, without paying Federal estate taxes and state inheritance taxes? * Haven't they already paid income tax, sales tax, and real estate taxes on the income they've earned and property they've acquired during their lifetimes? * Should they be taxed yet again when they die, reducing the amount to pass to their heirs?
Explanation / Answer
SOLUTION :::
It is true that there is only one truth of life that is death. But now days, we consider tax is also in the same way. Tax is an amount that is charged by the government from the person on his income or the property to support the government. It is considered as the moral responsibility of a person for his nation for the development and its growth.
It is true that every person should be responsible and need to pay tax in a proper way as per this status and level. But I believe that it is not advisable to charge tax again and again on the property of a person who is dying and his property is going to shift to his family and relatives. If it has already paid tax on his property in his lifetime, what is the use to give again tax on his property by his family members as inheritance tax. It does not seem fair and ethical to pay tax two times on the same property just because it is inherited to the others. It is fair that if a person did not pay tax in his lifetime and their family should pay tax at the time of inheritance the property.
