3a) describe both technique ( to collect this kind of data) in detail and also their limitation
3b) what this type of analysis measure and why it would be important to know this information (discuss the cause of reduction)
3c)what attributes associated with xylem allow for plant b to be more resistant to drying

Question 3 KUse the figure shown below to answer the following questions (25 pts). 100 Pant 80 60 29 3.a Describe a technique in which these data could have been collected. Note each technique we discussed has limitations so make sure to discuss those limitations when answering the questions. Page 3

Explanation / Answer

3 a) Xylem is a plant tissue vascular part which is responsible to carry the water and other minerals substances from root to the every part of tree. In the pant A the graph suggest that the xylan carrying the fluid and minerals at sustained rate in the beginning but slowly it decreases and letter it bocome again sustained. It happens due to when amount of water is not required to other parts of tree or liquid inside the tree reaches saturation. However if no sufficient water avaliable in the root there may be similar effects observed.

b) In plant B the graphical attributes display that there is sharp decline in the carrying water through xylem from root to parts of tree. From this graphical respresntation it can be observed that there may be possiblity that no sufficient water and mineral as well avaliable or the tree may not be holded ground thoroughly so that xylem is not getting sufficient grip to suck the water from ground. There may be another possibility that the roots are damaged hence carrying capacity of water is reduced.

?c) The xylam should be more healthy hence there should be enough grip is required over the ground and the roots of tree should be healthy enough. In addition the there may be possibility that if tree is infection in the place of the roots and branches, the supply of fluid and minerals may be reduced.
