Explanation / Answer
A. Auxin - an important hormone not directly related to germination. Auxin can promote/induce germination process indirectly by stimulating another component called abscisic acid through complex signaling pathways. However, it cannot directly impact on germination.
B. Vernalization - An extended cold treatment in a mlist environment. This chilling treatment is done during germination process to induce accelerated flowering afterwards. It seems to give the plant an artificial prolonged winter feel.
C. Photoblasty - exposure to light. Photo comes from root word photos means light, blast means germination. So, this process is applicable for some particular seed type which can only be induced for germination upon exposure to light.
D. Gibberellic acid - a hormone can substitute for most of these signals. It is also knows as gibberellin. It does various function together like cell elongation, germination, dormancy, development etc. This hormone functions in so many ways si that it is said that it can be substitute for mkst of these signals.
E. After ripening - A period of dry storage. When the seed is mature enough, it is kept in a warm dry storage for future use. So that we can take out it anytime and upon giving proper germination conditions, the seed forms sapling.
F. Imbibation - water uptake. The word imbibe means to drink. It is seen in case of seeds. When they're kept in water, water tends to diffuse inside the seed and makes the seed volume larger. This is called imbibation.
G. Stratification means layering. For eg, layers of soils, water layers, rock layers etc. This is definitely not related to germination process.
H. Vivipary (there is no such word called vivpary). It is a special condition where the young plant (formed from the seed of the fruit) breaks through the fruit wall of the fruit while that fruit is still attached to the parent plant. However, this option is not provided in the question.
