6. Spongocoel is a large, central cavity of a sponge. Water is pumped directly through pores called ostia into the spongocoel and then out of the sponge through an opening called osculum.
7. Cnidaria is a phylum containing 10,000 species of animals found in both fresh and marine water. Cnidaria includes jellyfishes, hydra, sea anemones, corals, anthozoa, scyphozoa and myxozoa.
8. Most of the tentacles are used for grabing and feeding. Many are sensory organs that receptive to touch, vision or to smell or taste, some tentacles have both sensory and manipulative functions.
Hydra are simple animals, their tentacles have nematocysts which have differetn types of stinging cells which are used to catch their prey.
9. Planarians have a complex body wall musculature that functions mainly as a skeletal support and support locomotion.
10. The most common type of annelids we know are earthworms and leeches but polychaetes conisists of most of the population of annelida. Most of the species are found in fresh water , terrestrial and some in marine habitat.

19. THey obtain oxygen by diffusion process.
