12.Bed sores are also called as pressure ulcers.It is a localized injury to the skin or tissue occurs as a result of pressure.They cause discoloration of skin and ands also oozes pus which is the result of bad smell.These bed sores should be diagnosed and treated as early as possible.Once identified as at risk ,patients should be educated and encouraged themselves to move whenever possible.Regular skin inspection should be done either by the nurse or the family members to reduce the risk of getting infected.Self medication should be prohibited and should be medicated only be the healthcare practitioners.
