A) As a Nurse the following two priority care has to be given to this patient at this time
1) Checking his weight is the first measure of a nurse. Controlling pain is the main task ,administer analgesic as per the order usually IV painkillers are given.If pain is relieved he could have his breakfast peacefully and get ready for the physiotherapy.
2) Encouraging him to have his breakfast ,so that his regular morning dose of medications can be given,also administering insulin after checking blood sugar levels
B)Acute pain in right knee related to the incision / surgery as evidenced by pain scale.
Impaired mobilisation related to surgery
Risk for infection related to surgery secondary to disease condition
C)The two possible short term goals are
1) controlling the pain
2) Making him mobilise with physiotherapy
