A confidence level is the likelihood that the sample you pick up matters in the results you get. The calculation is done in the following way, if you pick up 30 more samples randomly from ur population, you should see how often is the result that you got in your one sample significantly differ those other 30samples.

If the population selected is 100 so a random of 74 people should be surveyed for a confidence level of 90% with a margin error of 1-2%.
