Initially we have to calculate the work done in the month of march.

38,4000 pounds were completely finished by the end of march.And only 50% of the 13,400 pounds that is equivalent to 13,400 x .5 = 6700 pounds . 40% work on the 6250 pounds that is equivalent to 6250x .4 = 2500 pounds were already done at the start of march

So, Net work done in march = 38,4000 + 6700- 2500 = 388200 pounds

A total amount for labor in the month = $149,200 + $1,474,400 = $1623600

Hence cost per equivalent unit for labor = 1623600/388200 = 4.18$/pound
