1. HCP means health care professional. The interaction between HCP and patient is very important in the treatment scenario. An HCP should have some communication skills while interacting with patients. some communication skills inlude speak slowly, speak clearly but not loudly, stop and listen to them what they are saying, avoid own slang languages, reflect, use good body language, use other methods of communication other than verbal communication like writing, reading and use nonverbal communications like gestures, touch, postures,facial epression, eye contact ( really important,maintain good eye contact while interaction) ,symbols etc in case of such patients having disabilities.
HCP's emotions should not mix up with the patient interaction. be empathetic not sympathetic. show transparency while interaction. don't transfer misconcepts regarding the disease condition and treatment to the patient. maintain confidentiality in each patients condition, don't transfer it to others.
