Explanation / Answer

First & foremost, CoverAll cannot do whatever it pleases, whether it be in selecting and recruiting new employees after advertising for the purpose or in any other area concerning its business. It has a bounden duty to abide by the prevailing general laws of the land. In general, ethics are certain set of standards to be adhered to and they show /guide us in all walks of life .So,it is , for a business in up-keep of one's own corporate values that have been either self-determined or followed by peers.Recruitment is one such important area of any business, as humans are the very basic capital , for the business to stay ,grow & thrive and earn wealth for the owners & provide earnings for all other stakeholders, such as suppliers, customers, the government authorities , etc. The company should be fair & forthright about the position to a candidate is required, its location, and also how the interviews will be conducted. All job-aspirants must be treated equally.   Most importantly, no discrimination on account of of caste, creed ,origin, religion or any political affiliations, gender or age. Only the criteria the company decides to be present in the person, as essential for the job advertised , must be satisfied , for consideration for appointment . In this regard, the employer must be consistent and exercise his well-laid out& fully explained /transparent objectives for recruitment process . Thus the business can benefit by procuring the best employees with high morale. Thus ethics in recruitment , which will enhance the reputation of the company among peers & also add to its credibilty. As all of those who have appeared for the interview , have the acceptedly-demonstrated abilities required by CoverAll, it becomes the duty of the latter's recruiting Officers, to select persons , after a thorough analysis & justification of both the selected ones as also the left-out ones--- which will go on record & are subject to scrutiny ,in future. Merit (ie. Satisfying Company's needs) should not be overlooked just because the aspirant is a recent addition to the community or an employees relative. Or even the vice-versa should not be resorted to---ie. Selecting one person just because he is a relative of a current employee or he/she belongs to the community from time immemorial. At the same time, the company should not be so rigid, as to seek the elusive- perfect merit, in a parent with a leukamia patient as daughter---in whose case, the company has a social responsibility to try its maximum ,to provide a decent opportunity to earn for medical support ----whatever is in its fold,ie. offering recruitment, as one of the five selectees, if in case she meets the company's needs, even if it be decent- enough.
