Question
Please post this in an easy copy format such as typing it out rather than screen shot of written text ( very hard to read a lot of handwriting)
The second topic we will discuss is how to troubleshoot an open or a short circuit. Here are some questions I would like you think about.
1. How do you identify an open component in a series circuit?
2. How do you identify a short component in a series circuit?
3. How do you identify an open component in a parallel circuit?
4. How do you identify a short component in a parallel circuit?
Explanation / Answer
1)when ever the voltage measured across the component equal to source voltage then that component is open component in circuit
2)when ever the voltage measured across the component equal to zero then that component is short component in circuit
3)when ever the current measured through the component equal to zero then that component is open component in the circuit
4)when ever the measured current through the component is very high(infinite) then that component is short component in the circuit
