Question

1) Compare light photons and infrared photons, and analyze the attributes of each.

2) Explain what happens to light photons when they get to Earth and provide relevant real-life examples of this occurrence.

3) Describe how clouds change the photons' path from the Sun to Earth and draw clear parallels of each element to the laws of astronomy.

4) Explains how greenhouse gases affect the infrared photons reflected from Earth and analyze the relative attributes of each element.

5) Explain why the inside of a building or car is sometimes a different temperature than outside and compare the variables of each situation

6) Explain the role of the greenhouse effect for a planet's habitability and provide relevant real-world examples.

Explanation / Answer

1)All light is made up of photons(light photons).Photons have no mass.So they travel with the speed of light.

The photons formed due to IR light are called infrared photons.

The earth's surface when heated by the sun light, emits infrared photons which are having long wavelength. Some of these photons are reflected back to the earth by green house gases making the earth to become warm.
