Since the turbolift can hold the acceleration of 3g. And we want to put maximum tension on each cable of 88N to ensure the safety.

we have painting of mass 50 kg now suppose the acceleration is maximum (that is 3g) so the total tension feels by all the cable is going to be 50*3g=50*3*9.8=1470N

as each cable hold the tension of 88N

so the no of minimum cable to ensure the safety under consideration of budget is 1470/88=16.7

so around 17 cable would be enough to ensure the safety and budget
