Explanation / Answer

2. f=1/time period Hz.

so time period is given i.e. 30,000 microseconds

so when apply the formula f will be 33.33 Hz. so the ans is same.

3.Motor will not respond because 0% duty cycle means the pulse is always low or off.If the duty cycle is some what more than 0% the response will totally depand on motor's rating it may produce humming sound. But in many cases it will not respond. so the first explanation is more correct.

>>> Let comes to next question. how would changing the pwm signal frequency f change the motor response?

Very first we have to understand how PWM works to change the motor speed. Suppose A pulse having 1 sec time period means 1 Hz frequency. it is going high for half sec and low for another half sec. if it is applied to a motor the motor will on for .5 sec and will OFF for .5 sec. Now we come to the question how f change the responce of motor. If the freq will high the ON-OFF time will also as frequent as freq. if this freq is changing the smoothness of motor run also changing. If the freq will high the smoothness will also good. so we can say the smoothness is increased with frequency.

4. If key is pressed other than 1,4 and * nothing will happen. because at each check condition the gives output as N every time it will exit from the keypad loop and again enter in it. so every time it will available to take the right input i.e. 1,4,*.

>>> Only 1st key will work as shown in flow chart that is corresponding to speed increament. Because in the main loop all conditions are checked one by one. when the 1st condition is matched and the condition is true than it performs its task that is speed increament and than again it goes to check condition and again it will repeat and so on.
