Question

PLEASE HELP!!! ALL FOUR PARTS!!

PART A

Calculate the current in the circuit of the figure below. Assume V = 6.00 V, R1 = 8.00 ?, R2 = 13.4 ? and r = 2.20 ?.

PART B

Calculate the terminal voltage of the battery.

PART C

Calculate the magnitude of the voltage drop across R2.

PART D

Calculate the magnitude of the voltage drop across R1.

Calculate the current in the circuit of the figure below. Assume V = 6.00 V, R1 = 8.00 ?, R2 = 13.4 ? and r = 2.20 ?. Calculate the terminal voltage of the battery. Calculate the magnitude of the voltage drop across R2. Calculate the magnitude of the voltage drop across R2.

Explanation / Answer

1)current in the ckt = I= V/R = 6 / (8 +13.4+ 2.20 ) =0.2542 A

2) terminal voltage = i( R1+ R2) = 0.2542 * ( 8 +13.4 )=5.4398 volts

3) magnitude of the voltage drop across R2. =iR2= 3.406 volts

4) Calculate the magnitude of the voltage drop across R1. =2.0336 volts
