Let the internal emf be E and the internal resistance be r.

Case 1:

1400 mohm= 1.4 ohms

So E/(1.4 +r) = 2.63/1.4

E= 2.63 + 1.878 r


Case 2:

E/5.2+r= 1.68/5.2

E= 1.68 +0.323 r


From case 1 and 2 :

internal resistance r= 0.61 ohm

emf E= 1.877 V


If 5.3 ohm is replaced by 7.2 ohm

(1.877* 7.2)/ (7.2 + 0.61)

=1.73 V
